About the Center

3.2 Acres on Scituate's Inner Harbor

The Scituate Maritime Center sits at 117 Edward Foster Road within the Scituate Marine Park — a 3.2-acre site on the eastern edge of one of Massachusetts' busiest sailing harbors. The Center serves boaters, visitors, maritime trades, and the community as a multi-use waterfront destination.

From private events in the harbor-facing function room to seasonal berths in the Town marina, the Maritime Center connects people to the sea and to each other.

The Maritime Center function room overlooks Scituate Harbor — a stunning backdrop for weddings, showers, corporate events, and private celebrations. With seating for 50 and standing room for up to 90, the space is intimate yet flexible.

The Marina

Scituate Marine Park Marina

A full-service municipal marina with 78 slips, floating docks, and a working boatyard — located at the heart of Scituate Harbor.

78 Boat Slips

Floating docks with 10 ft dockside depth and 12 ft approach depth. Up to 45-foot vessels accommodated. VHF Channel 9.

Transient Dockage

3 transient slips available for visiting boaters. Reserve through Dockwa for easy online booking.

Kayak Launch

Public kayak ramp for easy water access. Explore Scituate Harbor and the surrounding South Shore coastline at your own pace.

Showers & Restrooms

Clean shower and restroom facilities for marina patrons. Water available at slips.

Boatyard Services

Full working boatyard on-site. Hull repairs, engine repairs, propeller service, travel lift, and dry storage available.

Moorings Available

Mooring field in Scituate Harbor for seasonal and transient boaters. Contact the Harbormaster for mooring assignments.

Maritime Programs

The Maritime Center is home to Scituate's most beloved on-water recreation programs.

Recreational Sailing Program

The Scituate Recreational Sailing Program calls the Maritime Center home. Learn to sail on Scituate Harbor with certified instructors in a beautiful, sheltered harbor setting.

Reserve the Function Room

The Maritime Center function room is available for private events from April 1 through December 31. Reservations are managed through the Scituate Select Board Office.

+ $200 refundable security deposit

Rental Agreement

Signed rental agreement required 30 days prior to your event.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing at least 60 days before the event.

Alcohol Service

Caterer or bartender must obtain a One Day Wine & Malt Beverage License from the Town.
